Just So Games, home

Privacy policy.

Effective October 14, 2026.

Your progress stays on your phone. We never see it.

  • Our games don't collect personal information.
  • No accounts, no ads, no tracking. The games send us only anonymous counts, like how many puzzles were solved today.
  • Your progress, streaks and settings stay on your device. We never receive them.
  • Our website sets no cookies. It counts page visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't identify you.

Who we are.

Just So Games is a small independent game studio in British Columbia, Canada. This policy covers our games and this website. Our games are Exact Path, a daily number puzzle, Level, a daily balance puzzle, and Roll, a daily dice puzzle, each for iPhone, Android and the web. When we release another game, this policy will name it too.

What our games store, and where.

Each game saves your daily results, streaks, other progress and settings (such as sound and haptics) so you can pick up where you left off. That data is stored only on your device: in the app's own storage on iPhone and Android, and in your browser's local storage on the web version.

None of it is sent to us. Our games have no accounts, no advertising and no crash reporting tools, and no third-party analytics.

On iPhone and Android, the app also asks the App Store or Google Play whether you own Supporter when it opens, and when you buy or restore (see below).

Anonymous usage counts.

To learn which puzzles are too easy or too hard and whether people come back, each game sends our own server a short note when certain things happen: the game was opened, a daily puzzle was solved (its difficulty, the number of tries and the time taken), a ladder level was cleared, the Supporter screen was opened, a purchase went through, or a result was shared. Each note carries the date on your device, how many days since the game was first opened on it, which game and version it is, and whether it is iPhone, Android or the web.

That is all. There is no name, account, device identifier, advertising identifier or install identifier, so we can't tell one player from another or follow anyone over time. Our server doesn't keep IP addresses and keeps no access logs; it records only the hour each note arrived. We use the counts only to improve our games, and we never sell or share them.

To erase it, use Settings, Reset progress in the app, delete the app, or clear the website's data in your browser.

Sharing your result.

When you tap Share, the game hands a short piece of text (the puzzle number, your tries, your time and a link) to your device's share sheet. You choose where it goes. We never see it.

Sound, haptics and reminders.

Sounds and haptics are generated on your device. Our games don't ask for your microphone, camera, location, contacts or photos.

If a game offers a daily reminder and you turn it on, the reminder is scheduled locally on your device. No notification token or other identifier is sent to us.

App stores.

When you download our games from the App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google process information about you under their own privacy policies. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers, Apple or Google may give us aggregated statistics, such as download counts and crash reports. These don't identify you to us.

Supporter and tips.

Each game offers Supporter, an optional one-time purchase that opens extras in that game, and optional tips. Apple or Google takes the payment, under their own privacy policies. They tell the app only whether your store account owns Supporter, and the app keeps that yes or no on your device. We never receive your name, email address or payment details. Apple and Google send us sales reports with totals by country, which don't identify you.

This website.

justsogames.com sets no cookies and loads no third-party fonts. It loads one third-party script, Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page visits: the page, the site that linked to it, your browser type, your country and how fast the page loaded. It sets no cookies, uses no fingerprinting and doesn't follow you across sites or over time. The web versions of our games send the same anonymous counts as the apps.

Cloudflare sits in front of the site to deliver it and protect it from abuse. To do that, it processes standard request data such as your IP address and browser type, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. Our own server keeps no access logs.

Children.

Our games are suitable for all ages. We don't collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13; the usage counts above contain none.

Your rights.

We follow Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA). Because we don't hold personal information about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on your behalf. Your game data lives on your device, where you control it. If you have a question, we're happy to answer it.

Changes to this policy.

If we ever add ads or accounts, or change what the usage counts include, we will update this policy before that change ships, and the store listings will reflect it. The date at the top shows when this policy last changed.
